British Heart Foundation Cycle Ride previous     next

28 June 2009

The Rotary Club of Lincoln cycle ride in aid of the British Heart Foundation has now become a well established annual event that just seems to attract more participants. The route was the usual from Aisthorpe to Brampton, where refreshments were taken at Stephen Pope´s house and then return. Thanks go to Sue and Stephen who, although away, made their house and refreshments available to the large contingent of riders. Thanks must also go to the visitors from the USA who were on a friendship exchange (Betsy Yost and Carey and Donna Beamesderfer ) who acted as marshals with good effect.

The Coffey Mates discuss team tactics.

The soon to be DG Peter Manton gets ready to wave the cyclists away.

American visitor Betsy Yost acting as marshal and pointing the way. This begs the question as to how marshals from over 3000 miles away were in the correct place when last year the local marshals got lost.

The club meets on Mondays at
The County Assembly Rooms,
76 Bailgate, Lincoln.
